Although we didn’t exactly need any more pocket diapers, I couldn’t resist Bitty Bum Baby’s adorable cactus print! This is one of the few cactus prints I’ve seen and living in the high mountain desert, we needed this diaper in our collection!

Longevity:

Bitty Bum’s diapers are all one size, meant to fit from birth through potty training or 7-38 pounds. While the fit might be awkward on a younger baby, Bitty Bum offers a graphic on their website that breaks down how to fit these onto a newborn, so you should be able to use these for the entire time your child is in diapers.

Quality:

For such an affordable diaper, the quality on these is great. We haven’t had any issues with pilling or with delimitation. The print is bright and we haven’t noticed any fading even though repeated washings. The only minor quality issue I’ve noticed is that there was a rogue string dangling from where the label was sewn onto the diaper, no big deal, a quick snip with a scissors took care of that. Besides that though, this diaper is of impeccable quality and easily stands up to diapers that cost twice as much.

Fit: IMG_3622

Like all one size diapers, the Bitty Bum one size pocket will be a little bulky on a smaller baby. Pumpkin is about 15 pounds and this diaper fits him well right now. We are on the smallest rise setting and the smallest waist without having to cross over the waist tabs. It isn’t too bulky on him and I imagine it will fit for a long time, getting a better (less bulky) fit as he grows. We have never experienced a leak with this diaper, even when Pumpkin is crawling all over and wears this for hours at a time!

Ease of Use:

Bitty Bum only offers pocket diapers, which means that you will have to stuff an insert into the diaper to use it. These diapers have a nice, large opening and are easy to stuff. The PUL is nice and smooth on the inside allowing the inserts to glide right in. Once stuffed these are easy to put on Pumpkin, even when he’s squirming all over the place, because the snap placement makes sense and is similar to most of our other pocket diapers.

Price:

Because this diaper came from a small company, I was initially expecting a hefty price tag, but these diapers are only $8.25 each and they come with a single microfiber insert. At that price you only need to use this diaper 33 times before it becomes cheaper than disposables and you’re supporting a small business at the same time!

Cuteness:

The cactus print “Prickly Bum” is my absolute favorite, it is the whole reason why I decided to try a Bitty Bum Baby diaper in the first place. Their other prints are also cute, with many different designs to choose from for both boys and girls. They also offer a good variety of solid colors that are the same price as the prints. You could easily build your stash out of only these diapers, without having to repeat too many colors/patterns.

Overall:

What really attracted me to the Bitty Bum pocket diaper was the cactus print but it turned out to be a really good quality diaper, especially for the price. The fit is also similar to other one size diapers and we’ve never had a leak! Bottom Line: Yes, I would buy this again. They have this really cute fish print that I currently have my eye on….
