Ease of Use: 8/10
So my new passion is wet bags. I love them. I use them for everything. I need all of them. The only problem is- there are serious quality extremes in wet bags. Some are amazing (this one right here!), and some are sub-par (any wet bag with seam tape, I’m looking at you). What I look for in a quality wet bag is a thick enough layer (or multiple layers) between the inside and outside, cute prints, and a useful size. This medium wet bag by BambooDrive far surpasses all of my expectations and has come to be my second favorite damp bag.
Wet bags, in general, are going to last a long time, and this BambooDrive wet bag is no exception. Wet bags don’t have elastics that will wear out like diapers, and they have so many uses besides just storing dirty diapers. You will certainly get years of use out of this wet bag- whether you’re using it to store diapers, dirty clothes, or toys. With how active our family is, I’m sure we will still be using this wet bag to store sweaty clothes or wet swimsuits when Pumpkin is eight years old.
A few weeks ago, when I reviewed the Bumpadum wet bag, I didn’t know what a quality wet suitcase was. This BambooDrive wet bag is a quality wet bag. The PUL is thick and robust, making it difficult for any smell to escape when this damp bag is closed. The seams are also stitched to prevent water escaping, rather than just sealed with waterproof tape. These seams will hold up through many washes and will remain waterproof. The handle on this wet bag is also really sturdy; I can load this wet bag up with a ton of soaking wet diapers, hang it on the door handle, and not worry about the wet bag handle ripping off. The only thing I wish was a little better quality on this wet bag is the zipper; it seems a bit flimsy to me. I’m relatively sure that the zipper will hold up to tons of use, but I wish it felt sturdier when zipping.
BambooDrive’s medium wet bag easily holds a day worth of diapers (6-8) and could also easily hold days worth of new fluff (12+) instead. This is our go-to wet bag to send to daycare because we can pack (and I mean stuff to the brink!) the front pocket full of clean diapers and daycare can just use the main pocket to hold dirty diapers. You could probably stuff an average-sized beach towel into this wet bag and could undoubtedly fit two adult swimsuits or some children’s swim gear. While this isn’t designed to replace your diaper pail, if you were washing every day, you could certainly use this wet bag as one.
Ease of Use:
BambooDrive’s medium wet bag is easy to use- simply unzip, stuff full of wet/dirty items, zip closed. Simple as that. I love the fact that anyone can use this damp bag- for anything! It’s so versatile and easy to use, you don’t need to be a cloth diapering momma to use a wet bag. They’re great to keep in your car just in case of accidents, they’re great for sports/swimming lessons, and they’re great to keep your luggage organized when traveling. Even the daycare workers have commented that this BambooDrive wet bag is easier to use than Ziplock bags.
At $8.99, the medium wet bag by BambooDrive is the most affordable (yet, still high quality) wet bag we own. Many wet bags of comparable size and quality are in the $15-20 range. I was honestly, for the price, expecting a similar quality to the china cheapie wet bags we own but this damp bag is so much more delightful! If you’re hesitant about spending $10 on this wet bag, don’t be it is well worth the money!
BambooDrive recently released their new forest prints, and oh my goodness they are so beautiful. I love all things nature-related, so this “fox n’ bear” wet bag was right up my alley. This print has a lovely nature vibe and winter vibe, while still being appropriate for summer (no snowflakes here!). BambooDrive does not offer wet bags in all of the prints from each collection but seems to provide a damp bag print for each group. Even so, there are five print options to choose from so you should be able to find a cute wet bag you love.
With my newly discovered obsession with wet bags, the BambooDrive medium damp bag is right up there among my favorites. This is the first damp bag I reach for when packing for daycare. Bottom line: Yes, I would repurchase this. We use this damp bag at least once a week (usually closer to 2-3 times a week), and I would love to order more. I can’t wait to see all the new prints BambooDrive comes out with, so I can buy more wet bags.
